Randy Bowser
Composer/Writer/
Director
Dorian is Randy’s
tenth directing project for Pentacle Theatre, following musicals such as Hair, The Mystery of Edwin Drood,and Metropolis,
which the Statesman Journal cited as one of the top ten cultural events of the year
2002. His 45 years of theater experienceincludes acting in Oregon, California, and Idaho,
with lead roles in Pentacle’s The Crucible and Amadeus, as well as other shows. Over the
last five years he has developed the script and score for Dorian, which he’s very appreciative to Pentacle for including in
this 2008 season.

Sheila SundChoreographer/Mrs.Vane/Ensemble
An original “Valley Girl”
from Northridge, California, Sheila has long been involved in the performing arts.
Following heavy involvement with musical theater in college, she has kept active both as a
performer and choreographer. Recent credits are the dance for Anything Goes at Sprague High School and Kiss Me Kate at South High. At Pentacle she
has performed in The Mikado, The Pirates of Penzance, and The Music Man. A five-year cancer survivor,
Sheila is the Medical Director for Willamette Valley Hospice, being the only physician
that is board-certified in hospice and palliative medicine in the Salem area.

Craig BaughAssistant Director/Assistant Stage Manager
Born and raised in Southern
California, and now living in Keizer, Craig is a busy Pentacle volunteer. Besides being
active with the theater’s Hospitality Guild, he’s appeared on stage in And Then
There Were None, Terror by Gaslight, and The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940. A
skilled sword master, he’s an active participant and scenario writer for fantasy
role-playing games.

Jeff Baer
James Vane
A language arts instructor at Dallas High School, Jeff has a long history
of performing at Pentacle Theatre. He could be considered a key player in “The Bowser
Repertory Company,” if such a group existed, since he has had lead roles or worked on
five productions directed by Dorian’s
Randy Bowser including Metropolis, A
Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, and I Hate Hamlet. He lives in West Salem with wife Kluane and two-year-old
son Zachary, with whom he enjoys singing the songs of the Wiggles, the Little Einsteins
and the Blue’s Clues.

Jason
M. Bailey
Dorian Gray
Born in California, raised in Idaho, Jason received his BA in Music
Education from Spring Arbor University. Currently he is a Choir teacher for the Central
Linn School District. Since college, his long list of theater credits include appearing in
Salem Repertory Theatre’s production of The Underpants, Chanhassen
Dinner Theatre’s long running Forever Plaid, and
Monkey Business at Sylvia’s Class
Act Dinner Theatre. He is adept at digital music and video production, collects Disney
shadowboxes, and lives in Salem with his talented wife, Jennifer and three young children—they
are The Bailey Troupe.

Kevin
Hamler-Dupras
Puppeteer/Ensemble
Born and raised in Southern
California, Kevin’s previous stage experience includes performing in productions of the
Gilbert and Sullivan operettas H.M.S. Pinafore,
Iolanthe, and Trial by Jury. In 2007 he made his Pentacle debut as the outrageous
Diafoirus and Purgon in Imaginary
Invalid. He lives with his wife in
Dallas, and manages the Actuarial Services Unit for the Department of Human Services.

Ken Hermens
Lord Henry Wotton
A Lifetime Member of Pentacle Theatre, Ken has always had a life rich in
theater experience. Since performing in over twenty productions while a student at WOU, he
has appeared in shows at The Hult Center in Eugene, the Gallery Theater in McMinnville,
and is another “Bowser Repertory Company” member, having had lead roles in The
Pirates of Penzance and The
Mystery of Edwin Drood, directed by Bowser at Pentacle. Audiences will also
remember him as Buddy in City of Angels, Don Quixote in Man
of La Mancha, a father in The
Fantasticks, and other shows. He is an Assessment Specialist for the Oregon
Department of Education and has been a Salem resident most of his adult life.

Emily Loberg
Balloon Lady/Ensemble
A student at North Salem
High School, Emily has appeared in many shows including Romeo and Juliet, Aladdin, and, with CET, Bye
Bye Birdie. Most recently she was seen as a Toreadorable in Pentacle’s
production of Gypsy. She is an avid
biker, enjoys nature hikes, writing, and is passionate about expressing her political
convictions by joining in at protests. She was born and raised in Salem where she lives
with her family.

Katie McLean
Alyce Leaf/Ensemble
This is Katie’s first
Pentacle production, but she brings with her an extensive theater background, graduating
from Central Washington University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and Performance. She
has played Ado Annie in Oklahoma, Margot
in When Paths Cross, among other
roles, and recalls her first role as a Munchkin in her grade school’s production of The
Wizard of Oz. She lives in West Salem with her husband Sam and dog
Mac, and works for the Oregon Parks and Recreation Engineering and Design department.

James Owens
The Bobby/Ensemble
A native of Monmouth,
Oregon, James has fond memories of the High School productions he was in of A Funny
Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Bye
Bye Birdie, and Once Upon a Mattress. Auditioning for and being cast in Dorian marks James’s return to an
artistic outlet he’s excited to be rediscovering.

Ray Phipps
Organ Grinder/Ensemble
Originally hailing from
Johnston City, Illinois, Ray is often seen performing in Oregon. His credits include Fiddler On The Roof at Chemeketa, and The Fantasticks
at Corvallis Community Theatre. At
Pentacle he was most recently seen in Inherit The Wind, and before that was
in Pentacle productions such as The Crucible, Man of La Mancha, and The Diary of Anne Frank. He
lives in South Salem with his wife Antonia and grandson Alexi.

Ronnica Selene
Rabold
Beggar Girl/Ensemble
Previously Ronnica has
appeared in The Boyfriend and Once Upon a Mattress at Pentacle. Still a
High School student, she played Rizzo in McKay’s production of Grease and Mary in McNary’s production of
The Pajama Game, as well as other shows. She’s proud to be born and
raised on planet Earth, and to have adapted to having idiopathic scoliosis so well that
she can perform the splits.

Sheree Ross
Sibyl/Lily
A K-5 music teacher for the Salem-Keizer school district, Sheree was born
in Washington, raised in Arizona, and has performed locally in Oregon for a number of
years. She holds her Bachelors of Music and Masters of Arts degrees from Western Oregon
University. Her production credits include My Fair Lady, Amahl and the Night Visitors, and at Pentacle has been in shows such as Nunsense II, The Pirates of Penzance, and Hair. She
is the mother of six, and is the vocalist in the local jazz band After Hours.

Chimney Sweep/Ensemble
Bryan is an aspiring pop
singer trained by the well known local vocal coach, Brian Swingle. Dorian is Bryan’s Pentacle debut.

Jamie Siqueiros
Faye
This marks Jamie’s Pentacle debut, but she’s an experienced performer,
having performed in many McNary High School productions including Les Miserables, Twelfth Night, and Annie,
Get Your Gun. She loves reading a good
mystery, is passionate about playing Guitar Hero, lives in Monmouth, and is an agent
support specialist for GE Security Supra.

A Salem native, Jessie has loved her experiences in local shows such as The Sound of Music, Bye Bye Birdie, and The
Wizard of Oz. This show marks her debut
at Pentacle. In the fall she will attend Western Oregon University with a double major in
Music Performance and Education and aims for a Masters in Special Education.

Jim Steele
Basil Hallward
A native Oregonian who graduated from WOU with a B.S. in Theater, Jim was
last seen at Pentacle in City of Angels. He
has worked as an actor in films, commercials, and also appeared on stage in Albany and
Dallas. Nineteen years ago he was featured in Pentacle’s first production of Gypsy. He remodels old buildings through
his company Steele Design Studio, and is developing the upcoming Dallas Events Center as a
venue for stage productions, marriages and corporate events. Landing the role of Basil,
the painter, was serendipitous— Jim’s great uncle was the internationally acclaimed
and leading American Impressionist, T. C. Steele (1847–1926).

Neil Vannice
Alan Campbell
Originally from Cleveland, Ohio, Neil discovered his love for theatre
after his college years. He has appeared in Sweeney Todd and Fiddler on the Roof at
the Gallery Theater in McMinnville, and Don’t
Fall at Brush Creek Playhouse in Silverton. At Pentacle he has been seen in Inherit the Wind and Metropolis. Previously
he has lived in South America, has traveled to Belgium and the Philippines, and now lives
in Salem where golf, pool and ping-pong are his favorite activities outside of theater. |
